Today the entire group of Greenwell Girls (Rick’s wife Janice and her sisters Ann, Gwen and Carolyn) together with three other girls in their family (Rick and Janice’s daughter Mary Catherine, Gwen’s daughter Erika and daughter-in-law Nicole) gathered together in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for their first-ever few days away together.
Rick and I, and the various male members of the family, we’re sure, did our level best to leave the girls in peace to make the most of this wonderful opportunity, and we hope the girls made the most of it too, between them texting us to keep us thoroughly well appraised of their goings-on, sending us photos and Facetiming us, etc.
Here are some photos and videos we received, and I must say they’ve got at least as good an eye for composition as Rick and I have. We should have given them a tripod, at least, to take some more of the nature videos we’ve been taking, and some other suggestions for how to spend their time more productively for us.
These videos are particularly nice:
Here are some photos from Janice’s phone camera:
Here are some photos from Carolyn’s phone camera, some are somewhat modified experimentally by Rick or me:
